If you've recently bought a puppy or have an older dog who would benefit from some training, then registering for a Dog Obedience Session at Buddy Powell Pavilion could be just the thing for you. Each session lasts for about 6 weeks, with classes every Monday evening. The next session on the calendar is from June 24 – July 29, 2024, and you can pre-register online to ensure that your dog has a spot in the session.
Will May Dog Park – 5901 Watermelon Rd., Northport, AL 35473
Will May Dog Park is a great example of the types of dog parks that you can find in Tuscaloosa and other nearby communities. This dog park is located within the larger Sokol Park South in Northport and features two separate, fenced areas for dogs. There's one smaller fenced section for small dogs and then a larger fenced section for bigger pups. Well-behaved dogs are free to play off-leash in the large, grassy fields and make plenty of new friends in the process. This park is open to the public every day, though do note that it closes briefly every Thursday morning for maintenance, re-opening at noon.
